CIELO AZUL is the tourist program of the non-profit association PUKULLAWA.
We are acting as a fair trade tourism agency.
It is a form of tourism which contributes to the economic, social and cultural development of the populations from a region. The solidarity tourism involves the direct participation of the local population, a cultural exchange, the respect of nature and a fair distribution of the resources. It is a solidarity link between travelers and guest communities.
CIELO AZUL raises funds for PUKULLAWA: we transfer a part of the benefits to the funding of educative, social and health activities made by the association PUKULLAWA which helps children and teenagers from Huancavelica which find themselves in a precarious situation. This contribution ranges between 10 and 20 soles per traveler. As a traveler you also have the possibility to contribute in a solidarity way as a volunteer.
Our agency works directly and in close collaboration with various communities of the Huancavelica’s region. We guarantee that our collaborators receive a fair price to help them develop new projects thanks to the tourism revenue.
With regard to the environment, we strive to incite and develop activities which are environmentally conscious.
More information about PUKULLAWA: The association has been working since 2006 on social assistance and personal development programs that benefit approximately 100 children between the ages 6 and 17. These children are living in poverty, falling behind in school and other various social difficulties.
